House came with a shitty low pressure shower head, I’m looking to replace it with something with serious force. Any recommendations?

While it isn't true for all shower heads there are a lot of them that you can remove the flow restrictor.

flow restrictor

Almost always. Take 5 mins with channelocks to remove head and needle nose to remove restrictor.

Speakman. Weighs a ton. took out the flow restrictor and had to let the kids have it, was too powerful for us. (one reason being, we've got larger than normal supply lines to the shower)

We finally settled on a Delta. But for high power needs, the handheld is better. (unsure of brand)

Take of the shower head, check take out the restrictor... sometimes just taking off the shower head and rinsing it out can help as sediment does build up in the mesh filter.

Speakman

I just replaced a cheap shower head with a Speakman Icon.

I now want to replace shower heads that I don’t use with it.

As others have said, Speakman. I recently replaced a shower head.

There’s not really a shower head that adds pressure. The better ones just restrict the flow less. As said many if not all have wire screen restrictors to limit their gallons per min usage from the factory. It’s very easy to remove.

ETA: I wonder why no one sells pumps to increase pressure? You could install a pump in a box in the wall that’s easily replaced pretty easy. Damn sounds like a good business idea

Best shower head I've ever had is a really cheap basic one from the hardware store, with the flow restriction pulled out and a 3/8 drill bit ran all the way through it. It'll drown you if you look at it. My wife wants to bring it with us when we travel.

first of all, you can't add a pump to get more pressure. if you want more pressure, you increase it at the pressure regulator valve. If your home doesn't have one, you have a lot of pressure already. will have busted pipes down the road though if you increase too much.

as said by others, there's a limiter placed inside every shower head via the epa via communist overlords. plenty of youtube vids to learn how to remove it.

What are you talking about? I'm not a plumber but I'm by no means ignorant here either.

Of course you can add a pump to add pressure, why could you not? I'm not talking about to the entire house, I'm talking about a small pump inline just for a single shower. You wouldn't be able to add volume and you'd have to deal with volume to your shower also, but adding an inline pump to just use your current volume with increased pressure would not be that difficult.

IE think about marine systems.
