I know, cheap chinese junk, but we have the VEVOR 130' 1/2" hose reel and it has been fine all year. It has only been mounted a few months, but we use it almost daily without issue so far. It was under $100 delivered with the hose. It is easy to use and as long as you let it back in slowly it doesn't have any issues. We do turn it off every time we use it so it doesn't have pressure on it all the time.
Based on our use, if it broke today I would get another one, maybe not a VEVOR, now that I know how much I use it I would look for a top brand, but it is just so handy and does improve our quality of life and what is the point of money if you can't make your life better with it.

Have a 65ft under back patio for 2 years.
Used daily and no problems at all.
Bought 82ft last week for the side of the house.
The spray nozzle is junk which I was already expecting.
Not sure how they hold up in direct sunlight though.
I'm not sure why,but a hose gives me the shits really quick, but these reels are awesome.
Hopefully they last

Eley
Expensive, high quality, ten year warranty. Not automatically retractable but sturdy tool. I have owned several over the years and given to son in law for Father’s Day. He’s still using it seven years later.

I had several similar to what the OP posted. All lasted no more than a year. I then bought the Eley brand and still going strong after 6 years including the hose.

I have a Giraffe hose reel and so far I've been very impressed with it. I mounted into my brick and just moved and took it with me. Their customer service is giving me a hard time about purchasing another mounting kit for it right now though. I bought another shorter one for my backyard and I plan to install it soon.
