Biggest immediate change would be see if your electric company offers different pricing plans. Many these days will offer a nighttime or weekend package which can potentially save you money if you can actually adjust your usage, which can be harder than it seems.

I've saved about $60/month by installing a Nest thermostat and setting a schedule for when the AC is low/high

I bought a Honeywell WiFi thermostat but same concept. It helps you not waste energy cooling unoccupied areas when no one is there. For me, the living area of my house stays at 75 while we sleep while the bedroom side is at 68. Then when we wake up, the bedroom side goes back up and living area goes down.

You could also get a smart metering CT to mount inside your panel to see what is consuming power that you may not be aware of. But easily the most consumption is from air conditioning.

Solar Panels on the roof will help a lot. Don't plug them in, just put them there for the shade.

Get a decent dehumidifier and a couple of floor fans. Dry the air and move it. It helps.

But only run the fans when you are in the room.

It is recommended to sleep in mid 60s for most people. You achieve more restful sleep. I consider that worth the extra $.

The latest research shows a wide range. 68 to 77 degrees. We have it around 70 but I'm in my 60s and the wife late 50s so we seem to get cold quicker now.

Also, pick up a good indoor thermometer, preferably one that also measures the humidity. Use it to see how accurate your thermostat is.
