I'd stay away from Masterbuilt at all costs. They have horrible customer service and their smokers will go out after a few years and often times parts are no longer available. Spend the money to get something that will last.

Very interested in the Weber searwood though. It's $100 off now but still $900

I have the Weber Smokefire and its been nothing but trouble
The Smokefire was a trainwreck, but Weber apparently learned from that and developed the Searwood as a whole new product.
Some folks (per YouTube) who complained about Smokefire problems got new Searwoods sent to them. Worth looking into.
I posted about my (limited) experience with my new Searwood in another thread. So far, so good.

I have a recteq and love it, no issues with mine.
I have a backyard beast, but if I were in the market now, I would consider getting their dual fire.

I have had a Masterbuilt for about 5 years
Got my Masterbuilt from Home Depot just before COVID. Added the cold smoker attachment about a year later (can now go 5-6 hours between adding chips as opposed to hour and a half to 3 hours).
I love it. I actually have a 9 pound pork butt smoking in it as I type this. I've done ribs, pork butts, briskets and turkeys in it and been happy
Only downside is that the cabinet width isn't big enough for a full packed brisket. When I get them from Snake River I have to separate the point and flat prior to putting them in. I've also had to cut a couple of racks of ribs in half and smoke them on two different levels.

I have a camp chef vertical smoker that I've been happy with. Agree on smoke tubes, they help a lot
