Quick ant hill resolution

Have a few spots in my yard that ants love to make piles on - right up against bricks and other structures.
I've tried various powders that you pour onto the hill, around the hill, or around the perimeter of the home.
Nothing has been extremely effective and it takes a couple weeks to know if it even works. And they come right back a few weeks later anyway.
Could I just pour a bit of lighter fluid in each pile and light it? And then shovel up the dirt.

Take a scoop from each hill and put it on the other hills. They kill themselves.

Sounds like a cool experiment but if you don’t burn the queen, it’ll keep on keeping on.

Orthene works overnight for me. I won't get another one for over a month or two.
