Pressure wash the fence or leave it alone?

My parents have a wood fence that they put up in 2004. It’s never been cleaned and has some what looks to be mildew and fungi growing on it. I was thinking about pressure washing it but was wondering if I’d be doing more harm than good. Pics attached so you can see what I’m talking about.

Hit it with Jomax and a stiff plastic brush then spray it down with oxalic acid. Will make it look almost new

Probably best to not pressure wash it likely to do more damage by looking at it. The other post above is on point.

Did they install it in a pond? I’ve never seen a fence with that much growth on it.
Looks like the bottom of an old boat.

My 10 year old fence looked exactly like that and I pressure washed it. It looked brand new after. I then stained it and it’s been 5 years and looks just as good as the day I stained it.

Look up soft wash mixes on YouTube apply it with a spray garden sprayer I would never hit it high pressure.
