My pool pump went out I just changed the motor part and not the entire pump.

That's what I'm doing as well. Motor is out for delivery today, so I'll change it out after work.

At first I was very intimidated thinking I needed to change our the entire pump, but my pool guy showed me a you tube video showing just change out the motor portion.
My local pool supply was trying to sell me a dual speed for a ridiculous amount of money.
The damn thing was real loud before the bearings went totally out

My old pool i had to routinely open the motor and pick Peebles out of the impeller.

No problems like that with the new pool so far. I hated taking that thing apart and trying to get it back together without leaking.

Got my new motor installed yesterday evening. Pool water is not bad at all for being without the pump for almost a week. Installation was relatively straightforward.
