Pipe Nipple length

Doing a little plumbing at the house recently, and we have a clawfoot tub with water lines coming out of the tub deck. It was some all-in-one tub and faucet combo we got from Lowe's over 10 years ago. The faucet side has male connectors, and the water pipe is female. I needed to replace it, and my wife ordered the faucet from Amazon. Problem is, the new faucet has a female connection instead of male. Basically to make it work without redoing the water lines, I need a super short 3/4 inch by 3/4 inch pipe nipple. I bought the shortest one at Home Depot, but its still too long. Does anyone make one that is shorter than an inch?

could you even get enough thread engagement with a nipple that short?
I don't know sh*t about plumbing so genuinely curious.

What you have is a close nipple. That's as short as they get.

just get a F>M adapter
But both my existing water supply and the new faucet have female. The nipple is the way to go as its double male. I was just curious if anyone made a super short one.

A close nipple is the shortest they make, they are almost exactly 1" long. Normally those type of faucets have a stop or shut off valve in line above the floor.
If you're able to/comfortable taking the old nipple out of the tub deck, measure how much longer it needs to be and go get 2 new nipples cut to length.
Or take the female end off of the nipple going up from the tub deck, add a MIP angle stop and use a water flex connector.
Or add a stop and escutcheon at the floor, grab some tubing benders and some 3/8 chrome supply tube and get to it.
The world is your oyster. 10 plumbers would fix it 10 different ways.
