We have brush along the side of our property that I would like to trim back a few feet. It’s mostly made up of elderberry, blackberry, and vines.

Can anyone recommend someone for this job?

A pole trimmer and sweat equity.

Seriously though, unless you find an individual to pay cash to, most big name landscaping companies are going to charge you at least a grand to show up.

I would wait until winter anyway when everything is dormant to cut that back.

your best bet, if DIY is off the table, is either some day laborers (if they can be found on the northshore) or a couple of teenagers with a chainsaw.

how big is the area?

Yeah I think these are good points. I’ve been meaning to get a pole trimmer anyway.

It’s about a 250’ stretch, so may not be too bad.

all you’re gonna do is make that elderberry mad if you just cut it back. You have to uproot it

I have the elderberry eradication merit badge
