Need to add dirt to garden

I have a 4X8 raised garden. The soil has gotten compacted, and I need to add more. What is the best bagged soil to use? Thanks.

Throw tarp on ground.
Add 1/3 peat moss
Add 1/3 mixed composts
Add 1/3 perlit or vermiculite
Mix all that together.

I buy what I catch on sale. This time I got Miracle Grow garden soil on saile at Sam's Club. I added four big bags to my 4x8 raised bed. I fertilized it a few weeks ago with 13-13-13 and stirred it in.

Doesn't help you right now but might be useful later.... In the late fall I put all my bush / branch trimmings into a small electric woodchipper and spread the chips in the vegetable garden. Around this time of year, I usually have a lot of oak leaves on the ground. I rake them up and use them as mulch in the garden. Helps keep dirt moist, and plants off the bare dirt. In between plantings I till all this into the soil. All this helps keep the garden fertilized and also replaces any soil that compacts or gets washed away.
