Need help killing nutsedge weeds

Completely renovated my landscaping and those damn things still came back with a vengeance. Any tips on what chemical will kill these things without killing all my plants. I’m about to lose my mind.

Just keep the sedgehammer off of your plants.

I've used Ortho Nutsedge Killer from Home Depot in the premix spray bottle. Just sprayed it on the nutgrass a few years ago and it killed all of it on the first application, and did not harm my Zoyzia lawn.

I have had good success with Image. I am trying certainty for the first time this year. Image usually starts working within a few days. Certainty takes a bit longer (it’s absorbed through roots not leaves) so I’ll report back. Certainty is cheaper per application than image.

Go ahead and buy a bottle of sedgehammer and a new 1 or 2 gallon sprayer and label it. Go to work after that.

Sedgehammer as everyone has said, but I have had great luck with "Certainty".

How long did it take you to see results with certainty?

The problem I have with Sedgehammer is when you mix it you have to go ahead and use all of it when it's mixed. There's no way to save it for another time. Most of the time I'm looking to spot treat versus spraying large areas.

Yeah it is a downside. I'll probably switch to certainty once I use up my bottle of sedgehammer.
You do get better sedge control though if you broadcast spray due to sedges underground root system.

Wanted to bump. Has anyone used Certainty in the summer? Everything I see is max of 85 degrees but have a ton of sledge popping up and need to do a broadcast application

I got something called Sedge Ender during prime day for about $15. Gonna give it a try in a few days.

Anyone used Dismiss? I’ve had the best luck with the ortho nutsedge killer and it appears that dismiss has a greater percentage of sulfentrazone. I’ve got large patches of sledge throughout and was going to try Dismiss. Image hasn’t worked well for me.
