Look for recommendations for a qualified painter. We’re looking to have our cabinets and kitchen repainted. I want someone that is going to be diligent in their prep work.

Assuming you are in the Baton Rouge area, I would recommend Ventura Brothers. They did several projects at my house and one of them was painting my kitchen cabinets. Overall, they were there 3 days (various coats were needed), but they also spent a good portion of the first day prepping. I had walls of plastic everywhere, but no visible paint at all leaked into other parts of my house. I will definitely use them again in the future.

What I do, go to a paint store, get recommendations from a salesman there. Same with plumbing and other trades. When I moved into a new town, that’s the best way to find subs.

I used Ozuna Painters years ago and was really impressed with their work and professionalism. They initially painted the entire interior of my house, then I had them come back and do the exterior. From the prices I got they were in the mid to lower range of the other quotes. I moved from BR and wish they were in my new location.
