Our fridge ice maker can't even begin to keep up, we had a cheap counter top ice maker that came with our 5th wheel that we used in the house but it crapped out after a year or two of continuous use. Anyone have a good rec for a countertop ice maker that'll last, or should I just get another cheap one and plan to replace every couple of years.

Either plan to replace it or get a good quality one that makes plenty of ice. Expect to pay at least 4 digits for it though. You will free up freezer space if you need to sell the idea to the wife.

with todays refrigerators you get a small freezer with a decent sized ice maker, or you get a decent sized freezer with a small tiny ice maker.

i shite you not, our samsung owners manual says you should use no more then 6-8 ice cubes every 12 hrs

the bin holds roughly 1/2 gallon of ice cubes when full

I bought the GE profile 2.0 countertop ice maker and really like it. It makes nugget ice and quick. Not overly big on the counter and has WiFi capabilities. I didn’t feel like spending 2-3k on replacing my under counter Scotsman. Solid machine so far.

Are you using the same waterline and teeing it from your fridge?

I believe most of these don't have a fill line, you have to dump water in.

I had the Costway one posted earlier, it was good while it lasted.
