Moving a playset without disassembly

Long story short:
We can pick up a free slide/playground set from our church that includes just a ladder and slide. There is a beam for a swing on each side but that can be removed easily. I am wondering if anyone has done this without disassembly. I would rather not take it apart as I worry about the strength of the screws going back into the wood which has only a handful of bad pieces i will replace myself. Overall it is in good enough shape to move, but I do not know how much man power I would need to actually move this. We are probably able to get a flatbed to transport.

Yep. I did for one transferred to me and it lasted for years. Retained the major sections intact and reassembled on site. Good luck.

It’s no problem to lay it over on a trailer backed right up to it.
If you have to drag it any distance I would worry about it breaking up or atleast not lasting very long.

take off the beam. transport in 2 sections. It will be easier to move, less weight and wont break as easy. Done is 4x this way.

If the base design allows for it you can roll it pretty easily using PVC pipe. Moved many deer stands this way. Moved a large playset from neighbors to my house using PVC, as well.

Did it a few years ago.
Above suggestions are dead on…..
Be warned- These things are STUPID HEAVY though & watch the dimensions for clearances and how it fits on trailer…

I've done it 3 times, but I mostly disassembled. The biggest piece I left was the platform with the roof beam. I took the climbing sides off. It takes time but wasn't hard, need 2 people for a few steps. Ours was 5 years old the first time I moved out, the lag screws were all still going in solid when I moved it the 3rd time 5 years later. I replaced the base board on one side, that's it. I kept the wood off the wet ground, on pavers or blocks. With a flatbed, if you can load, unload, and place it, go for it. I would still check and tighten everything after placing it.

take that thing apart and move it in pieces. If it’s too rotted to do that you don’t want it
