Settling into our newly built place. Looking to get mirrors without having to sell organs....

The largest mirrors will be in the master bath and both installed "landscape" not "portrait". One would be ~68" wide x ~32" tall and the other ~56" wide x ~32" tall.

Any recommendations?

I’ve purchased basic mirror cut to size at The Glass House in Gonzales for a great price. I’d start with calls to any local glass shop

That's the way to go. You can get the tabs to mount it to the wall, or use some adhesive to put it in place and build your own frame around it if you want it framed. We didn't do the mirrors, but in a house my wife was hired to paint, the owner replaced two old 70s era mirrors in a Jack and Jill bath after we had painted everything in there. She used some local glass place and got basic beveled mirrors cut and installed, and said she was surprised it wasn't that expensive.

Check with M&M glass in BR.

They did ours custom. Wasn’t too bad price wise.

Assume $18-20/sf installed. Assume around $8/sf if just buying materials. Do not use just any old glue to install as it will eat away at the backing. Use a special mirror glue. We use Palmer Mirror Mastic and Gunther Ultrabond. I'd recommend the mastic over the ultrabond as the mastic is more forgiving. Ultrabond sets up pretty quickly.

Are you going wall to wall? If so, your walls will more than likely not be square. Same with your backsplash. It's very rare I measure mirrors and find square walls/backsplashes. A suction cup used during install is pretty much a necessity if going wall-to-wall. It can be done without it, but you don't want to unless you handle glass every day.

We used M & M years ago on a custom house. Had a good experience. Ran into the owner 3 years ago in Omaha at CWS. He is such a good guy!

You could try ascension glass and upholstery. They’ve done work for me before but nothing as big as what you are looking for

Put a very large mirror on the wall of your bedroom so Ms. OneAyedJack can make sure she is looking good when she gets dressed and I am sure you will figure out the rest.

Thanks to everyone for the recommendations. Ended up going with M&M glass. More affordable than I would've thought. Getting mirrors installed Monday!
