Baton Rouge
Posting here with pics and also submitting a request to Angi to help my MIL with this. I know I can do a brand new floor from start to finish but I don't trust myself to just replace a section that's already installed. My BIL destroyed this area with his chair over the years and at least 12 pieces need to get fully replaced because there's no good way to attempt to color match the floor. There's an entire box of replacement flooring available to swap with the worn out pieces.

He's the only guy I use.

How’s it put down? Is it just tongue and groove?
I’m not a flooring expert but there’s really no ‘right’ way to do this properly. You can cut it out and replace it to a degree, but there’s no way to make it back to original with tongue and groove in only 1 section.
It’s almost just as easy to just softly rip it up from the door/ wall back to the damaged area, and then re do it from there.
Or throw a rug over it

It's tongue and groove all along.
