Had a fickle light fixture electrical all checked out but led would flicker and not stay on called a electrician buddy he said swap the polarity BINGO it worked so if you have an led light mystery try this.

Diodes only work one way, baw.

AC power doesn't have polarity. DC power does and if the polarity was swapped the LED wouldn't function at all. LED lights flickering in an AC fixture is a THD issue.

What is a THD issue and how do you fix it? I have an LED light flickering

Is it on a dimmer?

99% of led flickering issues are caused by dimmers. You need led compatible dimmer switches

Dimmer or a transformer on the same circuit. THD is Total Harmonic Distortion.

Just a note, if you take cover plate off there should be an adjustment screw on the dimmer. You can adjust it so they don't dim as much and it should eliminate flickering

I have 2 LED lights that flicker from time to.time, but no dimer switches. Could the dimmer be on the light fixture itself?
They are in separate rooms, and on different circuits

No. Bathroom, above mirror

No dimmer and light still flickers from time to time. Regular fan light in a bed room.
What to do here?

Any device on the circuit that starts pulling some amperage will cause them to flicker, they are just more sensitive. Big enough draw will cause them to flicker no matter what circuit they are on.

I don’t know anything about led I know they are sensitive as hell but by swapping the polarity you are saying I just made a better connection than i had before and solved the problem? That makes perfect sense.

If he's swapped neutral and hot leads then he's made himself a shock hazard...
