latest CAD nonsense - adding an outdoor plug

i bought 50' of 1/2 flexible pipe
i have a huge rubbermaid of romex from an old project; probably 100' or more
i bought an 'all in one' gfci outdoor outlet w/ cover
i have an outdoor outlet already i am planning to tap into and bury the line; very short run..about 10' or so to the side of the house i plan to put it on so even a fat slackass like me can dig an 12-18" trench for a run that short.
Q:
is this a good approach?
can i run romex through the pipe? i'm getting conflicting results in google about whether that is kosher or if i'm suppoed to buy separate wires. i'd rather use what i already have if possible.
what is the correct/best way to do this? i'm not trying to overthink it but at the same time i'm not trying to burn my house down either.
i have no dog in this hunt; if you tell me i should do it a completely different way i'm cool with that.
PROJECT: need an outlet near the front door for outdoor speakers, lighting (yes, that is a whole nother project) and an outdoor fountain without running extension cords from the current box attached to my deck.

I ran 150' to my tractor shed from outlet outside on back of house, just like that, after Hurricane Ida when my wire in air was destroyed and telephone pole broke. No problem yet.

Code doesn’t allow romex thru pipe.
That being said it’s not going to self combust if you do.
They make a direct burial romex if you can bury it.

Romex is not approved in conduit but it will be fine. It would last 43 and counting years directly buried....trust me, I put a 30 amp 120 volt outlet at my grandmothers barn in 1982 and buried 12/2 w/ground romex about a foot deep, if that, and it has worked ever since. Outlet is fused at 20 amps. Needed a camper hookup. This is about a 80-100 foot run. Voltage drop in summer has caused some AC problems in various campers but for the most part that outlet works and has worked for 40+ years. If you have to pull a permit though better buy and use some UF Cable instead of romex.

What is that exactly? Like pex, the stuff you use for sprinklers, or the corrugated flexible conduit?
But Romex will not meet code if that is what you are asking. It probably won't burn your house down either, assuming it is properly sized for the breaker it is on. 12/2 UF W/Ground (20 amp circuit or smaler) is between 65-70 bucks for 50 foot. 14/2 (15 Amp or less) is a bit cheaper.

Your outdoor outlet should already be on a GFCI circuit so no need for another since that can sometimes create nuisance trips. Just use an outdoor watertight box with a cover and a regular outlet if you know you are already on a GFCI circuit.

Yeah it will work but I would say to heck with the pipe and use direct burial unless you see a future need to make another pull through the pipe.

I just ran an outdoor outlet for a sump pump.
I used 3/4” conduit to protect the wire as it was only buried about 12” deep. I used UF-B wire. Had to buy the whole roll as the supply house didn’t have enough to sell to me by the ft.
Where you located?
