Any of you Lafayette peeps have some contacts for a reliable honest AC company I can use for my rent houses. The current company I inherited with the purchase of some of the houses is meh.

TIA

A few years back, I shopped around when it was time to replace my AC unit.

I got jacked around by a bunch of companies. most of them were trying to WAY over sell me on products.

Butcher was the only one that didn't try to BS me, and their customer service since the sale has been top notch.

I had a tech from Fontenot's come by and tune up my 2 units Friday.

Did have to change capacitors showed me the part # said take a pic and go to Solar Supply and buy them for next time. Also said the contact is going bad, take a pic and go to Solar Supply. Asked him about maintenance, said Ha, Just call me once a year.

I liked this tech.

Yes I got a Trane. Their price was right there with other companies, actually better than a lot of them.

My 27 year old unit was starting to die, but it still worked. I got a new system out of caution, and I had the money. It still cooled my house just fine. Its was a 16 or 18 seer unit with a heat pump. Every company that came out wanted to sell me a 20+seer 2 cycle/stage unit.

The Butcher rep said, if that old thing can keep the house this comfortable, there's no reason to spend the money one bigger unit. Id love to sell you one, but you don't need it.

I signed with him right there.

Butcher had a reputation as being the highest price operation in town.

You're the second person to say they are very competitive on price.

Their reputation is superb.

I had Butcher do my attic foam but their quote for a 3 ton 18 SEER Trane heat pump was 15k. This was fall of last year. Still looking around so I'll be following the replies.

Around $6,000 but they only sprayed over my outdoor patio and around the soffits where the previous company missed so it wasn't completely sealed. As part of the job they also vacuumed up all the blown cellulose over the entire attic.

We’ve always used Butcher. They come quickly when needed.
