Killing existing grass/weeds before fill/level/sod?

I’m going to nuke part of my existing centipede/weed patch with glyphosate tomorrow when the wind dies down.
Should I be waiting for everything to die off and raking it off before I move in with mason sand and leveling that all off (will be 2-3” of sand), or can I safely scalp and bag the dead area 3-4 days later, come in with the sand, then sod once it’s leveled?

I just did the exact same thing three weeks ago. You will want to wait until you are absolutely certain that everything is dead. If that takes 3 to 4 days, then go ahead. For me, it took two weeks and multiple nukings. Then rake and til.

It is going to take more than 3 days. You'll have to spray, rake, and spray again. Or if you are in the country you can spray, burn and spray.

Could you skip the spray and just till it all good? Or would I pay for cutting corners?

Exactly what Ronk said...

This would be my question.
