I have Bermuda infestation in my St. Aug in Houston. Has been for years, finally looking into getting rid of it.
I see LawnCareNut has a blog about using Recognition and Fusilade2 cocktail
LINK
Anybody have success getting Bermuda out, without re-sod?

That was a good article, it looks like you've got your answer.
I've used Atrazine in the spring before temps warm up to try and knock it back and give my St. Aug a chance to take over. The Bermuda takes a hit but it never seems to go away completely. I also keep my St. Aug cut high and my grass at least looks likes it's all one variety after I mow

what height of cut are you mowing at? if you're mowing at <2" the common bermuda is gonna keep coming back.
had the same problem at my place and best thing I ever did was start mowing at 3-3.5 inches and the st aug eventually choked out the bermuda

Ditto.
It might take 3 or 4 years though. My backyard might have been 70+% common Bermudagrass, raising the mowing height to about 3 inches, today, about 4 years later the lawn is 95+% St Augustine. There really is no herbicide you can use to control bermudagrass in St Augustine that won’t damage the St Augustine.

Thanks for the feedback. I didn't know about the Google TD search. I only tried the TD search and got nothing. Thanks for that. I see the previous cocktail threads.
I mow every other week pretty high at least 3". We get stressed lawns every summer so the St. Aug never able to take over. The Bermuda keeps it's footprint. I have tried Atrazine, MSM Turf, Certainty, Celcius - none of those work on the Bermuda. Another post said spot treat with Roundup but I'm afraid of doing that. I guess I will try this LCN cocktail and report back

Just search bayoubengals88 and you'll find the threads.
