Just got new Zoysia Zeon sod in March to replace Bermuda

I live in North Texas and had Bermuda forever but had bald spots because I have trees in the front yard. Finally decided to get zoysia put down in March. I called a local company that had a good recommendation from a friend.
I'm a novice with grass but I noticed they trimmed the old Bermuda down to the stumps and put dirt on top of it and then the sod.
It took a while to come up, but I started seeing good growth from the spots under the tree, but the exposed side and front of the yard have been dormant and then I noticed it was growing Bermuda. Fast forward to now, and its probably 20% Zoysia, 50% Bermuda and 30% bald. I've been watering plenty.
Im really pissed because I called the place after a month and told them the Bermuda was seeping through and they said thats normal and the Zoysia would overtake it, but that's far from what's happening. What should I do? What should I tell them?
They obviously didn't get rid of the Bermuda when they trimmed it down.
TIA

I know when I put in my sod, I rounded everything up AND torched the dried remains with my weed torch. Killed 2 cans of propane covering 8500' feet. I'm also confused by the lack of green (of any kind) in much of it. Were there lots of air pockets when they laid the sod?

Looks like they fricked up. I had a company put Geo Zoysia down last spring. They killed the old grass completely, then worked the dirt before putting down the new sod. No issues.

yeah, they definitely effed up but what do i do if they wont help? they just pass my message to the young Hispanic project manager, and he stands by his work.
Another issue is they clipped my soaker sprinkler when they put the sod down and it took me 3 weeks to discover it because they go off at 5am. Got my water bill and it was $300. Not sure what options I have because they keep ignoring me.

Ummmmmmmmmmm, that isn't how it works. You don't trim the grass down. You remove it with a sod cutter or skid steer if you are calling yourself a sod company. Taking bermuda down to the dirt won't do anything.

How many pallets of sod are you talking? It would determine how much fight I’d be putting up or cutting my losses and redoing with a different co or diy

Did you source from king ranch by chance? I’m in weatherford.
I had palisades laid yesterday. I did all the dirt work and rounded everything up 10 days before they laid and scraped the ground. so I can only blame myself but the yard has been tore up from irrigation work so it’s been mostly dirt with a random weed popping up here and there.
If it’s only a few pallets, your time will be better spent just resodding but if it’s a substantial amount, I’d see what an attorney would charge to at least send a letter.

Plano Landscaping and Sod.
It was 800 sq feet of sod. I don’t have the money to eat that and just replace it.

Good lord they did you dirty. Call a few places and pretend to be interested in sod. Ask them how they remove the old sod. Record the conversation. Call Plano sod and demand they fix it. If not get a lawyer.
If you look at their Facebook page they show on other yards that they took it to the dirt.

yeah i see that. I saw this pic on their page and it kind of looks like what they did to my yard. Mine had little pieces of Bermuda sticking up. Does this look right?

IF all they did was scalp the bermuda leaves, that's not going to be effective.
Ideally, they would spray it to kill it, let it die, maybe repeat, then till up the roots. It doesn't disappear easily, and they know this.
You need to try to document exactly the process they used on your lawn.

I posted on the Outdoor board and they recommended using Fusilade II Herbicide.
Apparently it kills Bermuda and not other grass. anyone ever used it?

It can kill it but that shouldn't be your responsibility.
