Is it normal for grass on inclines to die off first before other areas of yard?

Doesn’t get quite as much Sun as the other parts but was full green earlier in the year. It’s common Bermuda and will be adding dirt in the spring to help the steep slop that causes heavy runoff when we get heavy rains. Just noticed it that sometimes I spin my lawn mower wheels when cutting it dude to it slipping from the steepness.

Protection from frost (temperature) is the biggest factor.

Anything involving temperature like slopes, morning sunlight, and wind would be included.

Just my opinion.

Yes. That completely normal. Its gets burned in summer and frost settles in it harder in winter.

Yes dormancy, not for. I just find that it got real ugly real quick and didn’t know if it was cause for concern. The other portions of the yard get more sun and are better looking than where the incline or slope is.

I forgot to include protection from fences, house or buildings.

The areas furthest from those almost always go dormant first.

Inclines are hard on grass. Usually harder soil and holds less moisture.

Good point.

And I can't wait for the Winter Solstice! Best day of the year, as every day for 6 months the days get longer! Our subdivision on the river has big celebration party for it. (And we do a funeral celebration on the Summer Solstice)
