Is it common for old bar sinks to have only one hookup

I have a bar sink in an older home (built in 70s). Hot water doesn’t run out of the faucet, and lo and behold I look underneath and this is what I find because there is only a cold water pipe coming from the wall, no hot water.

Yeah, probably saved them $5 worth of pipe and fittings at the time

Love it. Is there any other quick fix that prevents the stream just shutting off when you switch the handle from C to H? I was wondering if there was a splitter maybe (I know the water would remain cold).

Is this pier and beam or slab? Do you have an attic above this?

It’s fairly easy to run some pex pipe to add the hot water.

The 110V instant hots a great idea also.

They make a water stop with two outlets on them. Install one of those and you can run a supply line to the hot and cold inlets on the faucet. Wouldn’t give you hot water but it would give you water from both hot and cold side of faucet. Also a 3/8” pex supply line and a brass T would do the same thing.

That’s actually a great suggestion, lol.

I would honestly consider getting a water heater for there. It’ll help with resale. Having a sink with no hot water would be a one of those dumb things that turns people off. And it would take no time to do.
