Put a Fantech secondary lint catch in the wall and a Fantech booster unit in the attic. Used to have to run clothes 2-3 times and now they come out bone dry on one run. I have a Speed Queen nat gas dryer.

Exact same setup I have except I have a SQ electric dryer. No issues at all.

I need someone to punch a hole through some brick on a pier and beam home and reroute our dryer vent. Currently it goes the long ways out of the house (abt 40 ft) and takes forever to dry.

I may or may not have done your suggested answer, many times. It's perfectly okay and I've never seen a problem with it.

ETA- I framed and trimmed houses for some 22 years.I've never understood the logic behind creating a huge fire hazard by running it through the roof, UP a chute with highly flammable dryer lint. (shrug).

Mine goes straight out the back wall.

This, I'm blessed to have a one foot travel to the carport wall. And that exhaust is really really hot.

tell me about it. The previous home owners had flexible ducting for the drier rather than rigid so there were air leaks everywhere and the lint buildup happened very quickly. That picture I took was immediately after my install so hopefully I brought a bit of improvement to the situation.

Safety tip.. some of those pictures did it correct some not.. be careful what you use as the “pipe”….. there is a fire hazard on some of the flexible tubes … I have them in my rentals and had a dryer vent company come out and built them to code… easy to do yourself… I just lets professionals work on my rentals in case ever a safety issue ..

Also some aspect with how many turns.. length.. size of blower…..
