I used some of the Volt lights to light up my brick columns and pineapples. I am going to add some additional lights around the sun deck once the river water drops for access.

This is what I put in on the center columns

You mean ditch water...

j/k

Do you have a pic of the transformer? I like the low profile of those lights for lighting my own columns.

I picked up a cheap transformer from Lowes, I think it was $70

Also, the lights lighting up the pineapples are 3" long, but volt also makes them in 6", 12" and 18" 3” Rotatable LED Hardscape . They are narrower than the lower light that you see on my bricks but they are a fixed light output Undercover Hardscape Light

I like the pineapples. Pineapples are a classic design element, back in the day it was a symbol of hospitality.

Probably a dumb question, but how do you hide the electrical cable when you installed the lights on the columns without them showing? Thanks.

When I originally built the columns, I installed underground conduit connecting all the columns. I had some romex in the columns before prior to installing the low voltage wiring. I had to pull the old romex out and repull the low voltage wire with the romex to install it, the conduit didn't have a large enough diameter to pull the new wire with the romex already installed. That was the worse part of the install.

coming to ask this question but you already answered it

looks FANTASTIC

and i was waiting for the upside down pineapple comment; did not leave thread disappointed.

any suggestions for my house? i have no wiring pre-run and have a very dark & steep driveway. at night older people run off my driveway right & left and i refuse to ever stick another ghetto solar light in the yard.

i feel like running the romex underground will cost me an absolute fortune. no idea why they didn't consider this when they built the house.

i don't want to hijack your thread; i'll start a new one for this.

This direct burial low voltage wiring is cheap and can be placed a couple of inches in the ground. I don't think it would be a problem.

Knowing some of his neighbors a few doors down it might be a hotspot for freaks.

I figured you would already be going with a "direct burial" cable of some sort.

Our outdoor kitchen/cookhouse has both direct burial coax, and its main power is direct burial too.
