I just need to make 2 cuts. So was wondering if I could do this with a manual tile cutter like the one below. Score it about 2” x by 2”. Essentially cutting out a 90° corner. Can I scribe and then pop this little piece out or will it break the tile?

you'd probably be better off with a good blade on an angle grinder or even a cordless drill if you don't have an angle grinder.

I'd be shocked if that worked. You need to find someone to do it or buy a cheap diamond blade for a grinder.

I wasn’t going to buy one. My buddy has one that I borrowed. Was great for cuts across the entire tile but didn’t realize I was going to have to make a cut like this. I have an angle grinder. I’ll grab a ceramic blade for it. Thanks everyone.

Just go pickup a cheap $5 harbor freight wheel for a grinder; they make tile specific wheels. I just retiled our downstairs bathroom and that's all I used for straight and 90 degree cuts. I didn't care much about the cuts as they were all hidden by baseboard but they honestly looked fine. Just take your time and have someone mist/spray water as you cut.

You probably won't even need water cooling the blade with such a small cut.

Cheap angle grinder and a diamond tile cutting blade will work much better. Lowes sometimes has the 6A Porter-Cable angle grinder on sale for around $16, a suitable blade might cost the same or a bit less. Ridgid has a 4" - 4.5" tile blade that is excellent for tile work, has a waffle pattern edge you can use to shape tile with and can actually cut glass mosaic tile with it better than dedicated glass tile blades.

If you don't have access to a wet tile saw go get an oscilatting tool at harbor freight and a diamond blade. Tool can be had from 12-$20 if you catch a coupon.

One of the most versatile useful tools for diy around the house. Plan ahead and buy some blades on line for the future because the big box stores and even harbor freight soak you on the cost of blades.
