I have a single story brick ranch house built in the 50's. The brick has previously been painted by former homeowners.

I need to clean the exterior including brick, wood fascia, soffits etc. It's mostly dirt, mud daubers, dead bugs etc. Stains on my gutters. There isn't any mildew so I don't know if H&G boards favorite Jomax is what I need?

I don't have a pressure washer, but I don't think I'd want to use one anyway since it's old, painted brick. Is there a product that will break down stuff and then I can just hose off?

Jomax may be the ticket. 30 Second Cleaner if you had heavy mold/mildew.

I just pressure washed a brick rent house and used Jomax on the fascia/softit. But used 30 Second on the heavy mildew on the bricks.

I use this every year and soak the entire exterior of my house with it. Works like a champ. I have brick, hardi and a little stucco.

I love 30 Second, but I think I can recreate it for 1/10th the price. That is a Fall goal of mine.

5% bleach
1.2% maybe surfactant and something else?
Rest water

Might throw some Dawn in there too.

From google:

quote:

Sodium Hypochlorite: The active ingredient, also known as bleach, which chemically breaks down organic growth like algae, mold, and mildew.

Trisodium Phosphate (TSP) or Other Surfactants: These help to emulsify and lift the organic growth from the surface for easier rinsing.

Corrosion Inhibitors: These are added to protect surfaces from the corrosive effects of the bleach.

Inert Ingredients: These are other components, some of which may be proprietary, that help with the product's overall performance but are not the primary cleaning agents.
