I made a stool out of scraps

This was the inspiration
I figured I could combine scraps of wood and make the side walls.
First I had to make the edges straight (yes, I know I have a cheap arse table saw, but it was free and it works)
Then I combined the pieces with glue, a biscuit joiner, and some time with the clamps.
I used a piece of a coffee maker as a cut out guide.
A jigsaw, router, and a sander were also used. The big pieces were leftover shelf board.
And voila
I also had some casters laying around. It looks skinny, but it rolls around nicely without me feeling like I might tip over. If I had to do it again, I’d probably make the bottom piece about an inch wider than the seat for better stability.
I haven’t decided if I’m going to stain it or just poly it.

Good job.
I would make a safety suggestion with that table saw, or any ts for that matter. Purchase a Micro Jig GR100 Gripper push block.
They're Made in America and allow for 3 directions of pressure--down against the table, side pressure against the fence, and forward pressure through the blade. All while keeping your hand safely away from the blade.

I will check that out. As you can see, I just use a scrap piece of wood as a push block.

Please do. It's a small investment and you'll be thankful you did.

Use something like Watco or tung oil that gets into the wood.

i was going to make a comment about how much I struggle at times with the table saw. I'm far from a professional but, at times I mess up repositioning my hands and get weird edges on longer cuts. Probably doesn't help that i'm always nervous using table saws. Nicked the knuckle on my left pinky once and I still have "dent" in that knuckle a year later.
