How to prevent dog urine stains on grass?

I resodded part of my backyard with St Augustine grass and grass looks good and green.
But I'm starting to get some brown spots where my beagle urinates.
Looking on Google, it offers all different solutions. One that would be easy to use would be the dietary supplement dog treats that supposedly adjusts the PH of the urine.
Anyone have experience with using the dog treats or any other advice?

The dog urine neutralizer products sold on Amazon didn't work for us.
I suspect you'd get better results waiting for the dog to finish and then saturating the area with water from a garden hose.
ETA: ours are very large dogs, so YMMV.

ETA: er, I stand corrected.
Apparently not all dog pee is acidic, and it's the nitrogen that kills the lawn.

Never found anything that works. Keep them plenty hydrated. I used one of those plastic watering cans and follow them and water behind them.

Only real way to stop it. I’ve got two GSDs so it’s a battle in my yard.

Luckily my dog prefers to piss in the woods. But sometimes when she’s been holding it she won’t make it and goes in the grass. I just pour a two gallon bucket of water on the spot and that seems to do the trick. I know that may not work for everyone, especially those with fenced yards who just open the door and let their dog out, but that’s all I’ve found to keep it from burning a spot.

I’ve tried the treats and they don’t work. My dog is 50-60lbs though, might work on a smaller dog.
I’ve trained her to pee in the same area of the lawn out of sight. I still have to use a bucket of water every now and then when she goes in the wrong area when we throw the frisbee.

It's not a stain, it's burning due to too much nitrogen.

I just trained mine to pee off to the side of the house where I won't see it as much or care. Only time he really pees right off the back patio now is when the wife or kids let him out.

It was always a losing battle for me. The tablets didn’t work. And we have a dog door that they would use and come and go freely. I usually wasn’t around to see or to water down the pee spots.
My backyard grass is so much healthier and greener this year since my dogs are gone (RIP).
