Any out of the box ideas? First guy that I got to do it put holes in the roof in order to put wood pieces for a foothold. I would prefer a different method

Can you reach them a pressure washer?

The GOAT will work but expensive. I think they are around $500

Do you have a raised house that you can tie a rope off on one side at the piers and toss a rope over the ridge to work on the opposite side????
I've done that before when working on steep roofs in N.O. and if just needing to wash a few skylights, it shouldn't take too long.

long extension ladder laid flat on roof at same angle is about the only way.
use a brush with hot soapy water and bleach to make it look like new again

Ok the extension ladder won’t work because the roof lips out at the bottom. Also not sure if the hooked ladder would work because where I need to access is at an angle not straight on. Appreciate the suggestions

The GoAT is light. If you can’t access directly with a ladder under the skylight, you have to go up to the ridge, and adjuster the GOAT down the ridge to the skylight then make your way down the ridge to the skylight

Rent one of those and use a brush and extension ladder with brush. You may need to put plywood mats under the outriggers as well.
At aaa rental it’s $260/day

You tried an extension ladder up to the roof and then a long-handled squeegee to reach the sky lights while standing on the ladder?

Can you get to it from a scaffold? Erect scaffolding and then pressure wash from the scaffold?
