Got mine under control.
Best application for me has been full spray on May 1 and full spray on Oct 1, and spot spray as needed in between....Celsius
Also, I am keeping my grass 1" taller.....helps with all weeds!

Not bad. Crabgrass spread like wildfire in my yard.
Going to try and seed over in the spring

I was not vigilant enough, but feel like I have a good head start for next year. Only the small section between my driveway and my neighbor's is affected.

That extra inch of grass height is interesting. I've always thought mowing too short was asking for trouble with weeds. A thicker lawn gives them less room to establish themselves. Definitely worth trying.

Letting your grass live at least 1" higher definitely reduces the weeds, period. I like the look of shorter cut grasses, but you are inviting weed growth for sure.

Had a major issue start about 4 years ago. This year it popped up only sporadically. Chamberbitter and Spurge have been my big troublemakers lately, but easier to deal with.

Pre-emergent herbicide, like Dimension, applied in late winter, early to mid-Feb (south LA), is every effective in “eliminating” crabgrass.
