How does propane installation go on new construction in Felicianas?

If burying, do I buy tank? Does some have to inspect tank before I bury it? Any rules on how to bury it? Any certain tank I have to buy in order for suppliers to fill it? I know nothing, but will need one. Thanks.

Can't tell you specifically for your area, but I had one installed 3 years ago in Ascension.
I'd call 2-3 propane suppliers in your area and ask them. They are going to follow their rules, no matter what, so you may as well start with them. I'm betting their answers will be similar, but not exactly the same, and their pricing options will vary.

all your answers are found with your local propane supplier

Like the others have mentioned, call your local propane supplier. If you're trying to save some money, then ask them how much they will take off if you dig the hole and trenches. I priced a 250 gal around Lafayette a few months ago - $3800 for a turnkey install - $3000 if I dug the hole for the tank and trench to the house. That was buried with anodes and filled. Always buy the tank, don't rent. There are certain restrictions with how far the tank needs to be from structures and ignition sources, and also think about how easy/hard it will be for a propane truck to fill it at your location. They normally like to install the tank after the plumber is done and appliances are installed so that they can leak test.

it's been a while for me (1999) but i rent my tank 500 gal buried from Harrell Gas in Kentwood. I don't remember much about installation costs but you have to agree to buy gas just from them. worth looking at.
