Elderly parent's home destroyed by Hurricane Ida
Need to get housing for them, they insist on being on same property. Considering a mobile home since it may be the quickest option. I know nothing about them and have questions.
1 Is the HVAC included?
2 Best to buy from large nation dealer ? Clayton nearby. I assume and may be wrong dealer may service
3 Water heater included ?
4 Appliances included ?
5 What to look out for?

I wonder if a motor home would be better?

Depending on what you can do quickly with the property as far as setting up for a trailer, it may be way more costly than just renting somewhere until the house issue is resolved as far as insurance, repairing, replacing, etc.
I know older folks are sometimes set in their ways, but at times like this it would be nice if they were more flexible.

Have them out of State right now. They are itching to come back sooner than later. Adjuster looked at pictures and just passed it on to office as total loss without a visit. They will not rebuild a new home, so I think a mobile home would be quickest solution. They will likely stay here as long as they last. There is room on property for it.

Look at buying used from a party out of the storm damaged area.
I see ads on FB all the time in my area for used trailers/RVs and there seem to be a lot cheaper for slightly used vs. new.
I imagine there aren't any bargains in storm damage area as many people are looking for the same.

I would think homeowner's insurance would pay them out way more than setting up a mobile home will cost including all the hookups for essentials like electricity, water, sewerage, etc.
If rural with a septic tank and water pump, that should not take long to hook up but probably a bit more of a hassle if in a city situation with possibly needing permits and such to have the work done.

Quality is key. Most will come with A/C, water heater, stove, dishwasher, refrigerator, and microwave. Be sure that the appliances that come with it are standard size for a regular site built home. When something has to be replaced you want to be able to get parts or a replacement at Lowe’s/Home Depot. Be sure to get upgraded subfloor, roof, and deeper walls with the best insulation available.

The insurance will pay whatever they owe for the totaled house. What they plan to do with the money after paying off the mortgage if any is up to them.

They owe nothing. Insurance settlement will be more than needed to set them up. They will be able to put a good sum away for other purposes
