My search turned up a few people, but the information I found is at least five years old.
If anyone has been through this before, I'd appreciate hearing your input or experience.

I've used Richard as well. Another recommendation here.

Thank you, both. I am going to reach out to Richard.

Reached out to Richard. He doesn't do new home construction inspections.

I did them. Don’t live in NC.
There are two inspection memberships. Look them up and ask for people in the area. Home Builders are more about passing building codes rather than insurance codes. Frankly, the two need to get together and recognize a common goal.
I did one inspection, where the night before the inspection, I came across a recall on Square D circuit breakers. On arrival, found that every breaker in the panel was recalled. The contractor foreman was an inspector that impressed the builder, he was hired to be the foreman. He and I got together, he got on the phone with the electrician, who ordered every breaker in every new home to be replaced. Then we addressed gutter downspouts that discharged across sidewalks. No building code to address that, but some insurance companies frown on that. Fall risk,, slip risk. Claim looking for a place to happen. We held a meeting with the gutter sub contractor.

Don’t use Webb. If you can afford it get a licensed plumber and a licensed electrician to also perform an inspection. I am a licensed electrician …..homeimpbydl@gmail.com

if it’s new construction get a copy of the permit drawings and the inspection will go much faster
