help identifying this yellow substance

Does anyone know what this is? It pops up randomly in my yard/garden.It's yellow and looks like vomit, but must be some kind of mold. I also have a black powdery substance on the side of my house. any ideas what it is and how to get rid of it?

Internet is telling me it's a fungus called "Slime Mold" or "Dog Vomit" and will die off on its own if you take away moisture, or you can dig it out and toss it but might grow back. Do NOT water the area.
