I have a normal sized fridge that needs to go up a lot of steps and my parents are seniors (its at their camp) so not easy to remove.

I was thinking of removing to doors, compressor, etc... and then taking a sawzall and cutting it into a few mid-size pieces. Has this been done?

I was wondering this as well. When I think “camp” I’m thinking camp on stilts or at least just on the ground level.

I’m guessing this camp must not be in the south and has a basement and needs to be brought to ground level.

So even with the doors off you can't get it out the door? Or are you just trying to lighten each load down the stairs.?

I think this is a great idea. Please document via video and post on YouTube so we can learn how to do it.

I think I would cuss more in the time it takes to cut it up and deal with it after cutting it up than I would powering through getting it up the stairs one time. 100% chance that some cut up sheet metal leads to bleeding.

I'm confused. I originally read this as the fridge needs to UP stairs into its resting place. However, everyone responded with how to get it DOWN stairs and you mention removal.

This going UP stairs or DOWN stairs?
I have the same question.

Up about 80 stairs. The cars are parked on top of a large multi-mile sand dune, and that is where the deliveries are made, too.

It's 20 years old, maybe more. It's going to the landfill or scrap yard.
