Hardwood floor help

So someone(who is NOT me) dropped a full bottle of gin on my varnished hardwood floor, and it immediately broke. Besides the mini-tragedy of losing a full Hendricks bottle, there is now a hazy, cloudy stain. Have tried generic wood cleaner with no improvement. Suggestions?

Mama used to rub anything with oil (vegetable oil or mineral oil, not sure) into the cloudy rings on her wood tables when someone put a cup down without using a coaster. The oil apparently displaced the water trapped under the finish. I know the discoloration disappeared. I think she may have left it for a few hours or overnight. Would be easy to test a tiny spot...

Mayonnaise, seroiuisly rub mayonnaise into it and they will be gone

The gin alcohol is a surfactant that has messed up the finish. Prob going to have to have them refinished. But
Try this take some polyurethane oil based mix it with 1:1 with minerals spirits it will dry quicker by doing this take a cotton rag like a old tshirt ball it up so you have a golf ball size ball rag dip it into the mix and rub finish on it will dry pretty quick and this way you can put multiple coats on but you will know if the haze goes away quickly and if by coat 2 stop you will need to refinance the floors you cannot repair because oil Polly ambers over time you cannot match it. Try lightly sanding it before you re apply finish with 80 or 100 grit to see if you can sand the haze away. Then apply the finish
