I have an unknown Satsuma in Alexandria up against the rear of my brick garage(South side). Do I need to do anything for 11* low?
Yes, 11 degrees is beyond their expected survival rate. I have my 3 young satsumas draped with Christmas lights, moving blankets around the trunks and tarps over them and some small garden poles I drove into the ground next to the trees. I have one large one just simply covered in a large tarp with moving blankets spread across the root zone and wrapped around it's trunk.

Protect the root zone with a lot of mulch, blankets, etc. The branches and leaves can die BA k but if the root zone survives it will come back.

What are the odds i lose my 3 year old queen palms in Metaire? Have about 12 All about 15 feet. Guess its gonna have to weather 26-27 degrees for 10 or so hours. Hoping the prior rain and high humidity protects them. Lost everything in 2018 so having some ptsd, granted that was a two day freeze where temps barely got above freezing for 48 hours consecutive days with a low of 19.

I protected my 4 year old satsuma tree the past 2 days by making a teepee with a tarp around it, wrapping the trunk and drip line with old jackets and blankets, and used a couple heat lamps. Around noon today I took everything off so that it could get some sun once it started warming up a bit. With the lows going to be in the mid 20's tonight, should I wrap it all back up or will it be ok as is? I was mainly worried for the 14° that we were expecting for this morning, but do not want to let my guard down and lose it because it wasn't wrapped again tonight.
