Post your Woodworking Projects

I got a lot of good responses from my last post with woodworking questions, so I figured that it would be cool to see what projects some of you are working on and maybe give someone ideas for their next project.
I just finished up this cedar planter box with angle iron legs. I came across this video on Youtube and wanted to try and build it myself. This was my first project and I learned a lot, most notably the importance of pre-drilling holes to avoid splitting wood and consistently cutting on the same side of my marks.
I think I am going to make of those woodburned American flags next.
So, what are you working on?

Which photo hosting site do I need to use these days? I just finished a tack armoire for the SO.

I use Imgur since Photobucket started charging users.

I use imgur even though I can’t seem to post them properly. I used to be able but now I can’t figure it out

Have to use the forum code under the share links, not the link that's on the picture itself after it uploads.

Looks good. Congrats on your first project. You will get hook. My recommendation is to build a workshop ASAP or you will never park in your garage again lol

Here is the tack Armoire the boss lady ordered.
It was my first attempt at something like this. I think it turned out ok. Solid red oak for the drawers and saddle rack. Oak ply for the shell.

i really want to make a cypress resin river table with the river being the shape of the mississippi in new orleans, but that's gonna be a long term thing i guess.

Take a pic of the river and have it blown up to the size you need. Trace it on a nice piece of cypress, or join a few to get the size you need, and route out the river route. Lay in the epoxy on the river course with a little colorant first. Start with shallow layers and build up. It will dry much faster that way and have less bubbles. Get the river level and clear,
Then lay in the table top. It’s time consuming but not that hard. Prep means everything.

That is pretty tight, dude!

Thanks. There was a lot of trial and error that I worked out in pine plywood before going to oak for the final product.

nice workshop setup and great work.

That's a sweet setup! Do you have any more pictures/material list for the farmhouse table? My parents are building a camp in the next few months and I think I may try and make one for them. What type of joinery did you use?

That planter box looks awesome! I've been thinking of doing that as well. Some odds and ends I've done in the past month or two.
Neighbor friend of mine had a 1930's table that was missing the leaf so she asked me to make one:
Selling it today thankfully b/c it's been tying up my life
Raised dog bowl for a friend
Raised dog bowl for my mutts using repurposed wood from a table someone built for me while at LSU. I don't have a jointer nor planer though.
Finally, a lazy susan that was my first project using a router and router table. Was a fun project and pretty easy overall.

I am trying to find a way around not having that and a planer. There isn't a good place to buy pre-milled lumber in my area so I am not sure what I am going to do for a farm table.
