Gutter leaf cleaning time; can someone teach me how to 'adjust' gutter runs?

i have 2 or 3 long runs that are sagging so the water never runs to the downspout end. the gutter contractors want waay too much money for what seems to me is just adjusting the angle to facilitate proper water flow. the gutters are a little bent up but still 100% functional but they are definitely sagging.

my gutters are really high up and i'm probably going to fall off my ladder and die, but as long as i'm up there, i would like to know the proper way to adjust the gutters if its not too difficult because i'm not doing this again for a year.

anybody do this type of work and can advise me the easiest way to accomplish this?

thanks!

those look good except for the video where it looks like you have to remove the gutter completely to lock them in. no way i can pull these gutters down and get them back up.

Can you show a picture so we can plan a proper course of action?

kinda depends on how much room you have between the top of gutter where you clip in and drip edge of roof. In many spots you'll still be able to clip them in. Only way to really tell is to get up there with a few and see whats good.

Sagging could mean several things going on. Insufficient clips, someone pulling/hanging on them when working on roof, fascia board rotting or pulling away from lookout blocking/rafters. Dump some water on the roof and see what its doing.

You're probably right about not being able to get them down in one piece. Its at least a 2 man job and gets much more complicated if any corners/miters in play.

I've used these and they work great. I did not have to remove my gutters to add them to the existing. One end clips on the inside edge of the gutter and the other goes right under the drip edge

Are they just sagging from the front or from the back side of them too? We get calls for old gutters sagging all the time and the majority of the time it's actually the fascia coming undone behind the gutters.

I had a few long runs at my house, just didn’t work. Not enough fascia to get enough slope, one crepe myrtle leaf would clog it, I sold the gutters for $40 scrap when I replaced my fascia.

I guess a downspout on both ends of the run would help but gutters are ugly and rot fascia so f it.

Dude, I’d clean mine multiple times per year, like right before a rain many times and the long run in front of the house would still overflow.

I have noticed the walkway in front has sunk some since I removed the gutters so my house might break in half one night due to gutter-less erosion. Farm Bureau got this tho.
