My St Aug yard has grey leaf spot pretty bad. I put down Scott’s disease ex last weekend bc it has azoxystrobin in it. What are my next steps? I read not to water at night. Anything else or just let this play out?

You’re going about it right, so let it play out but here are few additional cultural practices to consider courtesy of the LSU AgCenter. LINK.

Another tip to is to rotate your fungicides with successive applications to minimize pathogen resistance to the fungicide you are using - in other words, use another fungicide on the recommended list, before going back to Scott’s Disease EX (azoxystrobin).

Azoxystrobin will take care of it. I like propiconizole for it too.

Do you know about how long it will take to recover? I plan on putting another fungicide down next week. I guess I will use propi then

I’ve heard not to put down Nitrogen because it’ll accelerate it. Not sure if true though.

It has to grown out. If the spots are and inch from the tip then your grass needs to grow an inch.

Problem is the grass that’s infected isn’t really growing right now. It’s pretty bad. Thanks for the responses. Hoping to have green grass before summer is over

It’s probably the low spots? Has it been ‘wet’ by you? Raining a lot I mean? Usually the leaf spot tends to occur in the areas that stay wet, don’t get a lot of Sun, and otherwise don’t dry out.

So you may be over watering. But yeah, on treatment be patient.

Man these areas pretty much get full sun and the yard is pretty level. Hasn’t rained in a week until today. Weird how it’s inconsistent. A few weeks ago I ferted and sprayed Celsius and I think that added fuel to fire but still weird how I have nice strips of green st aug
