Garage Floor Paint Removal and Replacement

It's time to redo my concrete floor finish. There are two previous coats of paint that need to be removed or prepped for a new coat.
The chemical method is a mess and is not going to happen.
I've checked into renting a concrete grinder which seems like the best method but that dude weighs 200lbs and would be a challenge to transport.
Any recommendations for a Baton Rouge contractor to come and do that?
My plan is to repaint with epoxy paint, nothing fancy.

What about water blasting?

Used my pressure washer and worked a little bit.
Maybe I would need an industrial type?

I paid someone to come sandblast a bunch of concrete one time. I would do that again. It got it down to straight bare concrete.

You need to diamond grind the surface. You can rent a grinder and vac from AAA.

I sold concrete coatings for about 10 years. I would probably sand and repaint. Not much need to remove old coating.

This is what I am thinking. Since the floor is already coated, you aren’t going to remove enough concrete to get rid of the previous bond. You’ll never get the bond of a newly poured, newly etched surface. I’d just rough it up as good as possible.

So I now have a plan.
With my 4" grinder and a scaping blade, I really don't know what you call it, I'll grind where any flaking has happened then clean up, apply a primer and then repaint.
Thanks for all contributors.

I've had them and love 'em....costly when compared to painting but like

You cannot put epoxy over some random paint. You MUST GRIND the surface. I've done multiple epoxy/polyurea/polyasparctic coating jobs. You're coating will fail in short time if you do what you say you are planning.
Contact 301 flooring, or Huey's epoxy before you make a huge mess of your floor.

How could you sell concrete coatings and say this? You cannot sand and repaint. First of all, it's not paint. Secondly, it needs to be diamond ground down to virgin concrete. You cannot "sand" a concrete floor. Not to be rude, but what you stated is horrible advice that will lead to failure of his coating.

Hot tire pick up will jack up a painted floor. All you need is a infrared paint remover and scraper thank me later

This is one of those things that is not worth it to DIY. Ninja did mine 4 years ago, I want to say it was around $3500. Looks exactly like the day they installed it. Oil leak? Wipe it up w a paper towel. Nothing penetrates the coating, pretty impressive.
