Download the Scott’s app. (You don’t have to use their products, it’s free)
In setting up your profile, it uses a satellite image to zoom in on your property.

You outline your lawn with your finger and bam.. your sq. ft. is calculated.

Pretty awesome and thought I would share.

I use the "measure distance" on Google Maps.
Move the mouse to the corner of your yard where you want to start measuring.
Then right click and it opens up a box, click "measure distance", then click on another corner of your lot, then keep clicking to you box it in and it shows your sq. ft.

Cool tool. Google Earth Pro is also very accurate.

Google Earth is what powers this app.

Google Earth is great but this is much more user friendly for me.
