For a whole home generator which oil is better?

I have a 24kw generac...10w30 or SAE 10w30?

Those are the same oil….SAE stands for Society of Automotive Engineers, which is simply a rating system for oils.

Owners manual should say that full synthetic 5W30 gives the widest temperature range of protection. Mobile 1 5W30 is my suggestion after your break in period is complete.

My generac guy recommended 5w20 for our 26kw.
