Foot valve/check location on water well

I'm thinking about moving my above ground well pump and tank to a better location and building a little pump shed. I think the plumbing and wiring will be easy, but one thing I can't figure out is where the foot valve is located. Does it look like it's somewhere on this loop. The part with the cap is a cleanout for chlorinating the well when necessary. If it's not on this loop, would it be underground somewhere? The loop is pvc, the black stuff is residue from adhesive insulation.

Your foot valve will be at the bottom of your well string.
Hence foot valve. Though setups can vary with foot.check valves and types of pump setups.

So if I ever needed to replace the check valve I would have to pull up hundreds of feet of pipe?

That has been my experience, yes.
ETA: I have found that it is worth the money to pay a guy to take care of that.
I have never had a well hundreds or even 100 feet deep but I'm in south Louisiana. At some point a submersible pump also becomes attractive, but that is a whole different can of worms.

I absolutely would pay an expert to handle this haha.
I found an old record online that says my well is 180 feet deep, which matches up closely to all my neighbors wells.

I used Bobby Saltalmachia from 'A Water Service' 985-778-8054 to work on our well pump and holding tank. I was impressed with his service.

Thanks! A neighbor recommended him recently and he’s coming out after the holidays

The well casing is typically a lot deeper than actual well suction pipe. My suction is probably 60' deep.
