They can only improve reliability by:
-replacing old equipment
-Reinforcing system capacity
-putting power lines underground
-very aggressively trimming existing power line rights of way
All of those solutions mentioned above cost a hell of a lot of money. How much of an increase of your power bill would you be willing to swallow for increased dependability?
Because that is what it would take…
I think the customers have swallowed way more than their share of that responsibility already. Since you seem to be playing Entergy's devil's advocate, how bout you provide an accounting for where the revenue already collected has gone? Before you or Entergy utters a single bitch about rising costs, how bout you provide an audit of what exactly Entergy has done thus far to address old equipment, reinforcing capacity, and maintaining existing power lines?
Just wait till they start supplying those data centers with their incredible demand. Entergy customers will not only suffer the consequences of the company's poor maintenance and infrastructure, but they'll get stuck subsidizing the data center- financially or electrically, or both.

With 13 power outages in 2025 alone, Entergy continues to disappoint with reliability. The same area of ~400 homes is impacted by unreliable equipment & lack of tree maintenance surrounding the lines. Anyone been successful with formal Energy Commission complaints or other communication avenues to drive improvement?
Don’t worry. Instead of fixing their system properly, they’ll wait for a hurricane to hit. Then they’ll slap a temporary patch on your setup and call it a "repair/" After that, they’ll start charging you an extra $15 a month for the next 10 years under the label of "storm restoration fee."

Correct
Dad retired from and brother works for Entergy.
Anytime they try to do tree maintenance homeowners bitch uo and down, file complaints, etc.
Do you think they like when power goes out?
You do realize there are outside factors that contribute to this, correct?
It’s like a car… you don’t know the problem sometimes until it breaks down.

Step-by-Step Process
1. Identify Your LPSC Commissioner: Ascension Parish is in LPSC District 2, represented by Commissioner Craig Greene. Confirm using the Secretary of State's Voter Portal by entering your address—your LPSC district will be listed.
2. Gather Information: Prepare your name, address, parish, phone number, email, Entergy account details, and a brief description of the issue (e.g., "Power outages occur 12 times per year, lasting X hours each, affecting my home and potentially others in the area").
3. Submit the Complaint: Contact Commissioner Greene's office directly (preferred for faster response):
Phone: 225-342-4404
Email: craig.greene@la.gov
LPSC main office: Phone 225-342-4999
4. Follow Up: LPSC will investigate and may require Entergy to respond. This is informal; for formal hearings, refer to LPSC rules.

Will use your script on Monday as we’ve added another outage to the tally. Same segment on the outage map once again.

Appreciate the copy/paste, but the PSC complaint system is a joke. You’ll get a return call with your complaint noted, but absolutely nothing will be done about it.
The parish will have to start requiring buried lines for new development areas. And require that Entergy properly maintain ROWs. Make Entergy pay - not end users. They act entitled to be guaranteed a minimum profit instead of being held accountable for poor management decisions. Call the parish president to demand this.

Power is out again. Clear blue skies. I emailed WBRZ about their story.
