Your circuit board is going out. Just replaced both of mine.

I think it was 180 for both.

Issues just opening, or opening & closing?

Does your sensor get direct sunlight? On my last house I thought it was a heat issue as well until I had a “eureka moment” and discovered the sensor didn’t work if the sun was shining on it. A homemade shade fixed the issue.

Had the opposite problem where it seemed like it wouldn't work when it was cold outside but I adjusted the alignment of the sensors some and it seems to have helped.

That or it's just not cold anymore.

Had this issue at our old house as well. But it was only an issue when closing, not opening.

Bc the sensor isn’t used when opening and also the door would block the sunlight when closed.

Right. Was just clarifying bc OP mentioned opening.

I "fixed" a buddies who complained that his was stuck closed. Went inside and noticed that one of the kids bumped the sensor and it was off alignment. Apparently it is set up as a circuit because as soon as I put it back the door worked fine.

I would check alignment. Spit balling here but if it is just barely in alignment, in the heat of the day, could the heat cause the mount to flex enough to go out of alignment? Granted that would be damn hot. But it is worth checking before you go buying circuit boards.

The spring on ours just blew up. It has been really hot.

Friendly FRI to all, get white lithium spray grease and lubricate all moving parts several times per year.
