If in the N.O. area I have a younger friend that works for N.O.C.A. and he is the shop and art teacher. I would think he'd be interested in acquiring some tools, especially hand tools since the kids he teaches can only use power shop tools with his supervision.

Yes. The Arc Baton Rouge does great things with people with developmental disabilities and is always in need of tools and of course money. They are getting a new facility. I’ve been a supporter for several years and my children do a good bit of volunteer work and these people are phenomenal.
Keep them in mind.

Great idea. Help the folks with challenges in their life. My friend at N.O.C.A. would agree since most of the kids he works with are gifted.

little free libraries in your area are great places to donate books.
find a little free library near me
eta: on the third read of this thread, i realized that it said "tools", not "books." i think my brain won't accept the idea of giving away tools.
