Go get the house bombs. You just need to remember to follow up in a couple of weeks to get the eggs that hatched.

If you know someone with a state license you can get them to buy a bag of Topchoice. If not you can do Talstar w/ Verge granular twice a year. Make sure you get it into your flower beds and tree wells. You can also get liquid Talstar and a backpack and spray your house, trees/shrubs/, fence etc.

Treat your dogs, your yard with talstar and your house with boric acid and bombs. The eggs will lay dormant until something comes in contact and they'll hatch, you have to stay on top of it or you'll lose the battle.

I believe Home Depot sells some specifically for fleas. I haven’t had to bomb in a long time.

I do not have carpet in house, pets get a monthly flea preventative, and I treat my yard.

Perfectly stated.

Most only treat once and of course the larvae hatch and then the problem starts all over again.

OP, make sure you do all 3 at the same time....twice or three times.

We had this problem around this time last year.

Bombs didn't do shite. There is thread with helpful info. We paid a company but there were some links in the thread to buy the chemicals direct. They are hard to get rid of especially in this head and humidity.

I got these as well. It let me see what areas were bad etc.

I've used the "Hot Shot" brand from Home Depot. You get 3 aerosol cans for under $10, but it really depends on how much square footage each bomb will cover efficiently.

Just remember to stay out the house for at least 4 hours after setting them off, and that goes for everything that is a living, breathing inhabitant.

Like already mentioned, follow up in a couple weeks and treat the animals or it's all for naught.

Get the bombs for bed bugs. At least when I had dogs, those seemed to do better on fleas than the normal ones. We also had a bad infestation in our basement/garage. We had a little kennel down there our two dogs slept in at night. We treated the yard, we treated the dogs, and we bombed the hell out of the basement. But you're going to have problems with eggs hatching, and you're going to have to vacuum at least every other day if they're in your house.

We already had a mosquito spray company coming out as part of a neighborhood deal, so I asked them to nuke the basement. At first he didn't want to, and said these chemicals shouldn't be used inside. But I told him we were already parking outside, and not even going through the garage because the fleas were so bad. I had moved the dogs outside and he sprayed it down. It killed most everything, but I still mopped it all down a few days later and hit it with the shop vac too.

Fleas are a miserable little parasite. I did some research on them when I was having this issue, and apparently the eggs will hatch and they will feed on other dead fleas to survive. You have to make sure the ones that hatch don't live long enough to lay more eggs. I even spread some Diatomaceous earth all around my basement. Made a huge mess when I hit it with the shop vac to get it out. But between that and the bug bombs and the sprays, it took two weeks to eradicate them.

Flea eggs hatch every 7 days. So 2-3 treatments will be needed.

Raid Flea and Tick killer purple can stuff depending on how bad things have gotten. We only had a couple rooms of carpet and we caught it very early. Also for the dogs we switched to trifecta and only give them half dosage and they have been bullet proof since.

Boric acid works well. Use a broom to sweep the powder across your floors etc.
